If you're well prepared, you'll have a lot more fun!

Great tips for cool kids!

Good preparation helps to avoid accidents. If you are well equipped, you will have much more fun in the snow. Skiing with brains:

1) HAVE FUN WITH WINTER SPORTS – But don’t let yourself be tempted to dare! Say, “No, thanks, without me!”

2) IF YOU WANT TO SKI, YOU HAVE TO BE FIT! – The more sports and exercise you do throughout the year, the more fun you will have skiing. Skill – Strength – Endurance. Warming up is a double win: if your body is well warmed up, you won’t hurt yourself as easily. Warming up will make you fitter for the descent and you will be more agile and able to react faster.

3) HOW’S THE WEATHER? – The weather in the valley says nothing about the weather on the mountain. In the mountains, the weather can change quickly! Be prepared for it!

4) THE RIGHT EQUIPMENT! Skis, boots and snowboard have to fit you and your skills and be adjusted correctly. The binding binds and protects – if the binding is set correctly on you, it protects you from injury. With suitable clothing, winter sports are more fun! Whoever puts several thin layers on top of each other (onion shell principle) is super equipped. Gloves are a must! Never drive without gloves on sunny, warm winter days! Never ride without a helmet and ski goggles! The back protector acts as armor for the back – when jumping, the impact pants are mandatory! Do not forget sun protection and cold protection!

5) JUMPING & MORE – Fun also needs rules and has its limits! Drive in sight – get your sense right – use protective equipment

6) UNFALL AND FIRST AID – Stay calm! Help out any way you can. Call other skiers to help! Wait for rescue workers! 112 – Euro emergency call, 140 – Alpine emergency call, 144 – rescue,133 – Alpine police
